Other Projects

During my time at college, I gained extensive experience with a range of industry-standard software and tools in various aspects of digital media production, in addition to the above I did:
  • ​​2D Animation: I used Adobe Animate to craft dynamic and immersive backgrounds, animate facial expressions, and apply core animation principles to bring characters and scenes to life. One of my favourite projects involved animating a fairy soaring through a whimsical fairyland, where I focused on fluid motion, intricate details, and vibrant environments to create a visually captivating experience. View here

  • Web Development: I utilised a range of professional software tools, including Adobe Dreamweaver, IntelliJ IDEA, and Visual Studio Code, to develop websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while also creating a booklist application through Android Studio for mobile app development.

  • Digital Imaging: I captured high-quality photographs on assigned topics using a DSLR camera, followed by advanced editing and manipulation techniques in Adobe Photoshop to enhance and refine the images, ensuring they met the desired aesthetic and technical standards.

  • 3D Animation: Applied Autodesk Maya to design and develop sophisticated 3D animations, incorporating detailed modelling, rigging, and realistic rendering techniques. Gained hands-on experience in animating objects and characters, applying principles of motion and timing to bring digital environments to life. This project deepened my understanding of the 3D animation pipeline and enhanced my technical and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Project management: I primarily work with Agile methodologies, utilising sprints to break down tasks and ensure the timely delivery of each project phase. I use Trello to efficiently track and organise tasks, and have also worked with tools like Jira and Monday.com, ensuring a comprehensive overview of project progress and deadlines. My experience also includes collaborating with teams through Miro for brainstorming, mapping out workflows, and facilitating dynamic discussions. This combination of tools and methodologies enables me to manage projects efficiently, maintain flexibility, and deliver results that meet client expectations.​​

Skills Acquired

  • I have over 20 years of experience in the customer service area, and over this time I have developed great communication skills. I always get on well with both customers and staff. I have great sales and customer care skills. I deal with customer queries in a friendly and efficient manner and I am always looking to achieve the best possible result for both customer and company.  
  • I have developed great design skills while working with Gracie Massage. 
  • Through running my small business, managing the bar and working at the tourist office I have acquired exceptional administration and organisational skills. 
  • Through all of my jobs, I have gained excellent financial responsibility and bookkeeping skills.
  • I have developed great managerial skills, I know how to take charge and delegate jobs when needed. I love to work as part of a team, but I also have a great ability to work on my own.
  • I have learned how to conduct and analyse market research, through surveys and interviews.
  • Due to the current times of the pandemic, I now have experience of sitting on a committee and hosting online meetings through Zoom and Teams.
  • I also have waitressing, cleaning and receptionist experience, obtained from summer work while I was at school.
